Courses for families, professionals, volunteers and aides
Nearly half of Americans cannot comprehend written health education materials. Thus videos and small group discussion, plus optional journaling, are used to present the content.
To assure that communication and collaboration is maximized, everyone (i.e., professionals, aides, volunteers, caregivers, patients, friends, family) is trained using the same materials and videos. Quizzes (including supporting feedback for correct and wrong answers)
However, the professional courses include additional content that reviews the related literature; applies it to the tasks of increasing satisfaction and the quality of care, as well as improving outcomes. Strategies to evaluate outcomes and quality (using quizzes, surveys and small-group problem-based learning scenarios) are built into our courses.
